We’ve all heard sermons where the pastor speaks about how GREAT God is, how He can do ALL things, and nothing is TOO BIG for Him. Well, today I want to talk about how it doesn’t really matter what you ask God for as long as you’re asking.
If you want something (literally anything), you can ask God for it. He will not turn you away because you asked for something minute.
While it is true that faith is a gift from God, WE have to exercise the faith He’s given us.
How are you going to do that?
Step 1: Just ASK.
You want your headache to go away? Just ask God to remove it from your body.
You want to find out if your friend truly has good intentions? Just ask God to show you his or her heart.
You need rent money? Just ask God to make a way for your rent to be paid in full.
You want to go to Austrailia? Just ask God to send you to Austrailia.
You want to stop gossiping? Just ask God to guard your mouth.
You want a car so you can stop walking everywhere and depending on your friends for rides? Just ask God to send you a car.
You want to impact the world? Just ask God to put you a position to do so.
You want to start a blog, create an app, or even your own business? Just ask God to guide your steps. He will show you the way.
Now I could go on all day but hopefully, you all got the point. Yes, we can ask God for anything. Don’t get hung up on HOW He’s going to do because I can promise you that the path you’ve formed in your mind and the path God takes will not match up. Also, don’t get hung up on WHEN because God’s timing is not the same as ours and He moves when the time is right so just keep asking.
Step 2: BELIEVE.
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” (Mark 11:24 [NIV])
Now that you’ve started asking God for things, you have to believe that He has already taken care of it. All you need is faith the size of a “mustard seed . . . and nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Matthew 17:20 [KJV])
Whatever size faith you have inside of you will determine the outcome of the faith level you’ll have for God at work around you.
Step 3: RECEIVE.
Simply receive the things you have asked God for and thank Him.
It doesn’t matter if what you want is big or small, just start asking and believing so you can receive. You’ll thank yourself later.
Peace & Love,
